The food is alright, but the people are so nice you want to come back. Great service!

Solid three stars. We had breakfast here. Service was great. Veggie omelet was made with special request-egg whites, no cheese and a side of salsa. Salsa was fresh but lacked heat. Hash brown side was large, but lacked flavor. Would return mainly because of customer service and calmer atmosphere than other chain breakfast eateries in the area.

This is one of my families favorite places to eat breakfast. The food is great and the atmosphere is very friendly and family oriented. It reminds me of the sitcom "Cheers" after a few visits, everybody knows your name! And they treat you like you were a part if their family. Great tasting food with a sincere smile!

First time here but definitely not the last time. Good prices delicious food!!! It's hard to find nopales on a menu, much less prepared as well as they are here. I didn't mind substituting the rice for potatoes because they were cooked perfectly. The steak was also very tasty, just a little tough near the center but that was the cut of meat not preparation. Looking forward to our next visit. Our server and hostess Chela made the experience all the better!

The breakfast here is delicious and the portions are huge. We always take some home for later! The owner is very nice and seems to know most people by name. The fresh squeezed orange juice is fantastic!!!

Came here based on the positive reviews on yelp. First time here and was extremely disappointed with the service. Ordered an egg and sausage burrito which took 40 mins to cook. They messed up my order and served me a bacon and egg burrito. A lot of people that arrived after us were served before us. Basically if you're looking for barely mediocre food with crap service (1 star) than this is definitely your spot. Their salsa is good no chips. Their fresh squeeze OJ is good. (2 stars) That is all. #needasundaybrunchdoover

Like many, I came to this place based on reviews, it seemed like a great place to have breaksfast. This place sucks, don't know why it has four stars. Wait to be be seated was long (not because it was busy, but because it seemed short staff ) wait to get our food was even longer, food had NO flavor (ordered a breakfast burrito that had pretty much just plain potatoes and egg), our server wasn't attentive and was unfriendly. Didn't feel like I got what I paid for. I will NOT be going back this place. Go to Arthur's if you're looking for a great breakfast place.

Pretty good! Ham steak was thick and tasty. Crispy hashbrowns. Fresh squeezed OJ was great! Friendly staff. A bit overpriced for quality but not too far off. We'll be back!

Well, we move into the Neighborhood about 4 months ago, this was our 3rd visit, we have noticed on previous visits , its not the cleanest place to eat, well we let that go 2x figuring , that maybe we just came on a busy day, well today we ended up walking out after being seated, all open tables needed to be cleaned off, tables and booths, the floor needed to be mopped, I don't know with all the staff they have, some one couldn't just start cleaning after last patrons, all I could think with the front end of the house so dirty, I cant imagine the kitchen. We wont be back

Never again. I had a Mexican Omelette with rice and beans. The rice was hard. The meat in the omelette was a type of carne asada I never had before very dry and not tasty. The food overall was bland. Too expensive for low quality food that was served.

  • Tahara M.

Don't be fooled by the good reviews for this place. It's horrible! The food was undercooked, portions were tiny, everything over priced and the service was horrible! The only time the waitress said anything to us was when she took our order. Never came back again, didn't ask how the food was even we paid, and didn't say thank you.

Place has big portions. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely be coming back. We ordered the vaquero omelet and the machaca and eggs.

Greatest burger and cafe around town! Awesome burgers - best by far - better than what I can make at home. I don't know what they put in their fresh grind, but they make the best burger bar none! Sides are excellent. Potato salad, chili, fries, salad, etc.... Must go to in the North OC area.

Had a very good breakfast. Chorizo and eggs were very good along with the potatoes. The Asada and eggs breakfast was very good. The service was good. The waitresses are very attentive. Would like to come back and try more food on the menu. I recommend this place to anyone visiting or who lives here.

This by far is my favorite cafe in La Habra. Everything they make is so delicious. They are know for their burgers which are amazing. Great customer service as well. This gets five stars I keep going back.

Great food and even better service. Their burgers are amazing! It did take some time for the food to come out granted we had a fairly large party and it was well worth the wait! I'll definitely be back here

Prices are in the $9 range. The coffee was really good and the portions are generous but It wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I would say it's a tad overpriced.

Great food. Good service! Fast. Yummy. We always used to go to Arthur's but this place is 100x better!! Great breakfast. Now time to try the lunch and dinner. It all looks so good!!

Great service, great food, homey atmosphere. Huevos Racheros is my regular, best I've had! 4 stars because the establishment could use a face-lift/new facade.

Wow, unprofessional on the phone told me to call back in five minutes, wait 45 minutes for a pickup order and my potatoes are burnt. Gravy was good two stars

I am here to pick up a To Go order, and I am amazed at how hard-working the servers are! They are moving fast and helping every customer that comes in, and although I am not dining in, I am sure I would be well taken care-of if I were! Good service is hard to come by, and this restaurant clearly has it! I look forward to returning to the La Habra Heights Cafe!!

Service is good quick and friendly. Food is ok. The price for the ribeye steak and eggs is a little bit too much considering it's the lowest grade of beef. Turkey burger was a bit too salty. Burgers come with pickles, lettuce, dressing, onion (choice of grilled), and tomato. They grilled the buns. Comes with a side of fries, curly fries, fruit, beans, salad, potato, or onion rings. There's quite a bit of option to choose from for your side dishes.

If you're looking for a mom and pop type place to eat breakfast this is the place. Great menu and the service staff is ALWAYS friendly. They even remember if you haven't been in for awhile. My son LOVES the burgers and club sandwich. Order the hot chocolate or a glass of FRESH SQUEEZED orange juice. Just do it. I am a creature of habit and almost always order the heuvos rancheros. But I've snuck food off my partner's and kids' plates (probably too often for their comfort). I love the food and have never ordered anything I don't like. Oh try the Super Spuds. Total carb overload but yummm. They will substitute with fruit or veggies if you want to keep it healthier. Always attentive, always welcoming. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner but sometimes hours in the evening are inconsistent (hence my score of 4). Definitely try during breakfast or lunch.

This place was great! Good food, friendly wait-staff, clean. I came in on a busy Saturday morning and had ham and eggs. Busy as they were, it did not take long at all. The eggs were light and fluffy, hash browns were very good; large portions. The coffee here is very tasty, and I lost count of how many times I was offered a refill, by all the servers, not just mine. The whole experience was a pleasant, glaring contrast to another place in town. You should come here, I will definitely be back.

Just had brunch here. Its on a strip mall. Chose it because of all you yelpers and you were right. Great food, great service. The food came out exactly how fast breakfast should be, 7-8 min. Soo good, 10 min later it was gone. Now off to teach these kids.

I was nearby the area so came here for breakfast and gave it only 3 stars cause the price was ressonable, service was good and food was okay. Not much on "Oh Wow!" breakfast selections, if you are craving something like an El Torito or Acapulco style selection on breakfast this would be the place cause the menu had more of a Mexican breakfast selection. Not a really typical cafe more like a old school coffee shop. When you walk-in there is a small bar sitting to the right and left side of the bar area are booths/tables sittings. The waitress are very attentive each would come around to check if everything is okay or if need a coffee refilled. The prices are reasonable for breakfast selection between $8-$15. Had their pancakes which was fluffy and delicious. I had the LaHabra Omelet which was spinach, mushrooms, & cheese came with salsa. It was nothing out of the ordinary and it taste just like an omelet. Most likely would not come back again unless I'm in the area and I was hungry for breakfast.

This place gets the Guada La Habra award for soggy food. I ordered the same meal I always order at Arthur's Cafe. It was like I made it. They mix all the food together instead of using separate plates - bad presentation, cheesy Guada La Habra ambiance. Only thing going for it is the crowd is sexier than Arthurs crowd. Fiery latin women instead of John Deere men at Arthurs.

My first time to La Habra Heights Cafe, and it was better then some of the review posted, but there were a few issues my girlfriend and I had. We came in for brunch around 11 which was perfect because it was just before the large crowds of people. -Some great things about La Habra Heights Cafe- It was a large restaurant that was great for groups. Lots of seating areas with large tables. Usually the tables are so small that I'm afraid of the crowding dishes and plates, but there were a nice size. The server came and assisted us with drinks quickly and offered any clarification of the menu/specials. She was very polite and patient with us. We ordered the freshly squeezed orange juice which was delicious and came in a large chalice. Our order came after about 10 minutes after ordering. My girlfriend ordered the La Habra Heights French Toast while I ordered the La Habra Heights Pancakes, each came with hash browns, eggs and 4 bacon (your choice of 4 meats). They were both great, but the French Toast was absolutely AMAZING. I wish I had ordered that instead. They were fluffy and had a hint of cinnamon sugar. I will be getting that next time. The bacon was absolutely the best. I prefer my bacon brown and crispy, as opposed to chewy. Each piece was a good as the last and I wish I ordered more. Some of the best crispy bacon, that I haven't made myself, in long time. -Somethings to fix/change at La Habra Heights Cafe- The look of the inside gave me the impression that it was run down. There we a couple paintings hanging on the wall and nothing else. Just a little bland and looking in need of a paint job or something to dress the place up. Make sure to wipe down the tables. We were seated almost immediately which was nice, but when we sat down in the booth, the cushion was sticky, and when I put my arms on the table it was sticky as well. The hash browns had little to no flavor/seasoning and required a lot of salt. They were also soaked in oil. I ordered over easy eggs, and they were a little undercooked. Still watery and clear in parts. The restroom had a sign to make sure to lock the door, but the lock didn't work. All in all I can see myself coming back either by myself, or with friends. If you want delicious french toast, somewhere new to try, and somewhere to meet people for a quick brunch, I would try La Habra Heights Cafe.

This is our first time here. We were seated right away. The food was quick and really good. I'm not a breakfast fan but I would defiantly come back here for another meal.

Enjoyed having breakfast at this little spot that I happened to find on yelp. My friends and I looked for a little joint that would serve up some homemade feel type of meal. The waitresses were so kind and helpful, they had that motherly feel with the way they served- like your mom never sits to eat because she's busy serving everyone. The food tasted great and the fresh squeezed orange-carrot juice that came in the big ol goblet was delish.! My husband's French toast was really good as well, we shall be back for more :)

Sorry for the one star rating but my experience was so unpleasant that I can't bring myself to give it more. Took my kids to YMCA swimming class. They were famished when done so we went here for brunch because it got good reviews and was the closest to us. The place looked decent and clean. My son ordered a pastrami burger and I ordered a breakfast combo to share with my daughter. The waitress offered to split up the order for me and I was delighted with the great service. Our orders were priced at $12.99 each. Not cheap but not a deal breaker. The food came rather quickly and the portion was good. So you would think that everything's cool then why the one star, right? Well, everything went downhill from that point on. The cook decided to add something extra to spice up my son's burger - a really nasty, long, black hair!!! It was stuck in the melted cheese and it was beyond gross! I should have taken a picture but I was too grossed out by it that I just wanted it taken away! I know it's most likely not a common incident but any decent restaurant should never allow such thing to happen! Tie your hair or wear a hat!! They redid the burger for us but our appetite was completely ruined. If the kids weren't that hungry I would have left right away. When the check came, I saw that they charged $13.49 instead of the $12.99 as shown on the menu for my breakfast combo. I consider myself a reasonable person. I didn't ask for or expect any discount to comp for the very gross "super long hair in the food" incident (many restaurants would have offered it without being asked). Yet instead they overcharged me for $0.50?? Turned out it's the charge for splitting up the order for me! What? I know $0.50 is nothing but it would have been better if she'd at least let me know first. She offered to split up the order for me but conveniently forgot to mention " oh btw, it's gonna cost ya 50 cents cause it's a lot of work to put half of your order on another plate. Labor is not cheap you know." So much for my previous "great service" comment at the beginning. In all honesty their food wasn't bad at all. But I'm never going back.

Popped in for breakfast the other day. The service was a bit spotty but very nice. I ordered the orange juice and country fried steak and eggs. The country fried steak was actually pretty good and the OJ was freshly squeezed and pulpy the way I like it. While my meal was good, my friends meal was just ok (she got the chorizo and eggs). Overall, not bad... but the price is pretty stiff for what you're getting and that's what knocks it to 3 stars. Check it out, good food with nice service, but a stiff price.

I've had this place bookmarked for a really long time because it was pretty close to my parents house and I kind of wanted to check it out. So during the few months that I was in LA I came by and tried this La Habra Heights Cafe! It was a busy place and ordered a cool looking plate called napoles with beans and hash browns. Portion size was gigantic and the food was pretty tasty and very hefty for breakfast. I think you could just skip lunch after eating this whole thing! Friendly place and it looks really family owned and has a country vibe to it. If you are ever in this area, check out this little cafe pretty adorable!

Thank you Yelp for helping us locate this neighborhood gem. We were looking for a breakfast place to eat on Thanksgiving and was resorting to (gasp) Denny's. The wait for Denny's was about 8 families deep, and not moving very fast. I saw this on yelp, called LHHC and happily discovered they were open! 6 minutes later, we pulled into the parking lot. It's a tiny place off Whittier Blvd, just west of Beach Blvd. The restaurant was about 40% full, and most of the patrons were finishing up as we walked in. The menu is Mexican-American, ranging from traditional breakfast all day, steaks, chops, burgers, and traditional mexican food. Originally I was going to get breakfast, but decided on the skirt steak with grilled onions, Stephen ordered the choizo and eggs, and both our plates came with beans, rice, and tortillas, with a side of house salsa. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. Its a great mom and pop/ small business establishment. I am not one to give 5 stars freely, but feel this warrants 4 strong stars.

Food is simple and good, service was good also. Would have given another star if the facility was cleaner and a bit nicer looking. Would have added another star is price matched the food/quality a bit better.

My girlfriend and I had limited breakfast options on Thanksgiving morning, so we headed out to Denny's but found it far too busy. Naturally we then used Yelp to find La Habra Heights Café nearby, which luckily was open that day. Located in a small strip mall facing Whittier Blvd, it's a small U-shaped restaurant with a counter at the front and seating to both sides consisting of booths and tables. My girlfriend ordered a carne asada plate with rice & beans and I got a chorizo & egg plate, also with rice and beans. We asked for corn tortillas, and received four each, which was nice. I think three is the standard, but places like El Pollo Loco now give you only a measly two. You can get your breakfast plate with hash browns and toast or with country potatoes if you prefer. My chorizo & eggs was very good. I especially liked the fluffy Mexican-style rice. I tried some of my girlfriend's carne asada and grilled onions, and would have been happy with that plate, too. Our plates came with a bowl of salsa that was nearly perfect. The salsa was flavorful but with only a slight hint of heat, which is fine with me. Service was very good, too. Our waitress checked up on us several times and also offered to refill our drinks without asking. I enjoyed my breakfast and would gladly go back to La Habra Heights Cafe to eat breakfast or to try one of their burger plates for lunch. Unfortunately, they're not open for dinner.

Happy Anniversary breakfast. Awesome people, service, food. Gracie is terrific. There is never an empty coffee cup. They even surprised us with a heart shaped pancake with strawberries. Yummmm this is visit number 2. There will be plenty more. This place is a gem.

Came here for breakfast on July 4. Just thought that I'd give it a try with the good ratings that this place has received. I only had 13 bucks cash on me and thought that it should be enough for a small breakfast and coffee given that it's just another Mexican-American cafe along Whittier Blvd near Beach with Norm's down the block and the super cheap John's Best near First Ave. When I was handed the menu, what struck me was the pricing of this place. The cheapest breakfast item on the menu was $7.49 for a short stack of pancakes. I was originally thinnking of getting the basic 2 eggs 2 bacons and toast but sorry that was priced at $8.99 compared to John's Best $3.99. I'm not saying that this is something that people cannot afford but for a small mom and pop owned place with nothing fancy their food is way overpriced. I ended up ordering a coffee and a chorizo and eggs breakfast burrito. The menu clearly states that it comes with hashbrowns and salsa but the waitress would still ask me if I want the hashbrowns and salsa....duh. She also asked me if I want it with cheese. I said yes and thought that's a fair question because some people wouldn't like cheese although to me, cheese is almost a given for breakfast burritos. The burrito came and it turned out that the hashbrowns and salsa were all inside the burrito. The burrito didn't taste bad but honestly, it wasn't even as good Mr.Albert's further down east on Whittier towards Harbor and their chorizo & eggs burrito is only $3.49. I get that I can't really compare the price between LHHC and Mr. Albert's because the latter is just a taco shack in the neighborhood but LHHC's food and service didn't really warrant the pricing. The check that I got ended up to be a shocking $12.44 because they would charge $0.99 for that little sprinkle of grated mexican cheese (can't even see anything gooey) and a freaking $2.49 for a cup of lousy watery coffee. I would totally drive over to Early Bird for a 10 times better and more decent breakfast with much better quality food. I originally gave a 2 star rating but after finishing up this review, I decided to give just 1 star and I wouldn't give this place a second chance. By the way, they do accept credit cards so I paid with my credit card and with my decency, I still gave a $2 tip for the ice water and ketchup that they gave me.

Not impressed at all with this place. There was hardly anyone there and our food was cold. My husbands came out first and as the waitress sat the food down she said "if you want the hash browns cooked more let me know" they were basically raw. So yea he sent them back then my food came out and my husband is sitting there waited about 10 min for fresh browns and both of our food was cold and mediocre at that point. Prices are too high for the small portions we received.

After months of seeing this place on yelp & reading the reviews I finally got to check this place out. I was a bit disappointed with my experience. I wish it was better but it wasn't so bad that I wouldn't give this place another try. Though I was happy with how fast the staff it self, took care of the customers and even though there was a line to be seated they seated us within 10-15 min. My disappointment came with our own waitress. I ordered the fried steak & eggs and enjoyed it (I am not complaining about the food it was good) that was to come with a side of hash browns & toast except my toast never arrived. I didn't complain because my waitress didn't really come by to check up on us & didn't notice herself that she didn't have my order complete. The second disappointment was that I also order a side of French toast & that too never arrived. I didn't complain because she only came by once to check up on us. So when I had to ask for my check we waited for a good 7 min & when we realized that she wasn't gonna come we had to ask another waitress for a check & boxes to go. My third disappointment came when I received my check & I was being charged the French toast I never received. I would've wished my waitress would've given our table more attention and then I would give this place 4 stars. But I am not discouraged as I did notice the rest of the staff busy buzzing away working hard. I will give this place another try

OMG! Can you say N-O-P-A-L-E-S? I can and did. Great flavor, the nopal was crispy firm on the outside and mixed with the scrambled eggs, onions and bell peppers. Beans are cooked to perfection with semi-melted cheese sprinkled on top with a slightly smokey flavor. Not a fan of mexican rice (other than my mom's), but this was tasty with peas and carrots. Busy at breakfast and lunch hour(s) - we made it around 10:40 am and went right in!

Good food and great price. We really enjoyed our breakfast and will come again! I happened into IHOP earlier this week and La Habra Heights Cafe was not only cheaper, but the quality was ten times better. The Bacon was nice and crispy just like homemade and the pancakes were light and cooked perfectly.

Good food, your choice of American or Mexican. Very hectic and busy, but friendly staff. Except our poor waitress, who was running around like a chicken with no head. Not getting much done, though.

Slow service, lousy coffee, run down decor, under seasoned food and relatively high prices for what you get. Nothing terrible and no deal breakers, but I typically get better service and food for less money from chains like Denny's and IHOP.

I found this place on yelp after I got out of church looking for something to eat that was near and highly recommended by fellow yelpers. Seeing that this was a 4 star rated place and my girlfriend and I like to support local business when we can, we decided to come here and eat. The place was not hard to find, it was located on a main street and parking wasn't a hassle either. We were greeted and asked to pick our seats. It wasn't that busy but still a good amount of customers inside. I ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice and looked over their nicely organized heavily laminated menu. My girlfriend and I noticed that pricing was a little bit high but the pictures of the food made it seem like we'd be eating an ample amount of food so I figured the prices matched the amount of food to be ordered. I ordered the Mexican omelette which consisted of carne asada, tomato, jalapeño, and cheese with country potatoes and 2 flour tortillas. My girlfriend got the Heights pancake combo which came with 2 sausages 2 bacon strip eggs hashbrowns and 2 pancakes. We sat there waiting....and waiting....and then waiting a little bit more. Finally when our food arrived it didn't look like anything pictured on the menu...at all. I expected this huge monster of an omelette but was disappointed in what I was served. My girlfriends dish looked like what she ordered but missed that whole streoided look the menu made you believe you'd get served. At this point I figured the money would be on the taste and to be honest it was average. A customer next to me was so frustrated on how long he had to wait for his food that when it was finally brought out to him, took a bite out of the eggs, said they weren't what he ordered, returned the food and asked for his check. I ate my omelette and didn't taste any jalapeños till the end of my omelette same with the Carne asada. My country potatoes were burned on one side and soft on the other. I assume the chef was going for crunchy potatoes but instead slightly burned one side and left the other side of the potatoe untouched. The only thing I feel like I got my money's worth was my girlfriends dish which I feel would be around the same price at Ihop or dennys and my fresh squeezed orange juice which was like 4 bucks. After finishing my meal I waited at the table for my check and after 3 or 4 minutes went by sitting in front of empty plates we got up to the counter and asked for our check. The service wasn't good, the food was disappointing and my wallet is a little upset that I paid that much for a bad experience. I give this place 3 stars because although the food wasn't terrible I feel it has potential. It needs someone to whip that staff into shape and give you a meal along with the experience as good and promising as the food on the fancy laminated menu we were given.

I was in the area this morning needing breakfast and stopped in because of the good reviews. I love little neighborhood diner places like this. The food is often good (my french toast combo with fresh squeezed OJ was), and the servers often make the experience most memorable (Also true in this case. Sachi A. was right on the mark here about Gracie. In fact, Gracie was very happy when I showed her Sachi's review on my phone).

Food is delicious! Machaca with beans and potatoes are a must try with their salsa! The waitresses were very nice and friendly! This cafe had followers, you can tell who are the regulars! My hubby had the Vaquero Omelet it was really good!

This was a Very Pleasant Surprise for My Family and I to try from all the YELP Reviews. Though the Ambience was lacking, the Quality of the Food and Orange Juice wasn't! Definitely order the RIB EYE STEAK & EGGS! I Had it with Rice & Beans instead of the Hashbrowns. It was recommended over the Carne Asada, even though My Wife ordered it and loved it! It wasn't Your typical Dennys or Norms "Wanna Be" Steaks that were thawed from the Ice Age and beggin to see daylight. Yummy it was! The Orange Juice was delivered in a Goblet and Appeared to be Fresh Squeezed. The only problem I experienced was that I ordered a side of pancakes to try but they forgot to bring it, then Acknowledged it's existence at the end of the meal. However, by then WE WERE FULL! Other than that the Service was Warm and Charming. We're definitely returning to try the French Toast, Pancakes and Burgers! This is definitely worth adding to Your Short List of Breakfast Restaurants! -Sam Lin- Sr. Master Coach

Tried this spot for the 1st time today and I must say it was pretty good... Pancakes kinda tasted like they had biscuit batter in them, they were verry filling! It's an older spot so lots of the older generation there! Nice mom and pop place!

My wife and I decided to try this place after driving by it dozens of times. We are so glad we did. She had the breakfast quesadilla and I had a basic plate of scrambled eggs and pancakes. Their homemade salsa is very good and my wife loved it. My food was very good too. We're definitely returning with our kids.

Excellent breakfast!! I'm always looking for an awesome breakfast place and this is my new (nearest) favorite. I don't have to drive all the way to the Omelette Inn in Long Beach or The Mission Cafe in San Diego or even Paula's Pancake House in Solvang. Nope, this place is a fantastic and much more local alternative.

It's a great, homey place to have breakfast. Delicious food, and great portions. I had the super potatoes (I think that's what they called them), hash browns w/ bacon, avocado, crema and eggs; awesome!!!! Oh yeah, the fresh squeezed OJ actually tasted fresh squeezed.

General This a nice, tidy place next to my thai. I came here a lot earlier in the year then i guess got tired from it. I enjoyed reading my paper in the morning and shooting the shits with the locals. This place is ran by a hardworking Latina Family and much props to her for working so damn hard unlike the Ni-- damn i should stop here with the racism. ANYHOO back to food~! Price Flacos - $10 Gordos - $15 Puercos - $5-$8 cause they get a discount =P Drinks Soda & really good iced tea. I like the drinks cus they are in jumbo cups. SMART LADY Service A one woman show. She handles the front and her sister or cousin handles the back. if its a jammed house, she does her best but for a one woman show, it's still better than asian restaurants. Ambiance/Environment CHILLLLLLLLLLLLL~!!! no noise except for the locals but they tend to be seniors. There's no stupid cholos or immature peepo there. it hardly gets loud. Food Portions Quite small, but, she started hooking it up with the portions once i had to go elsewhere to get full right after Food Quality Not bad. It's a diner. it cant be more than 1 day old. Food Taste A lot of the foods minus the veggies and others are processed so they tend to be salty. Pros Proximity (near me), great servicing, friendly staff. Cons Portions a bit to small. The place is puny so if its packed, that has it's trickling affects. if you see me here, say hi, we can share a table and talk shit about black peepo. I'M JK'ing. gosh peepo GOSH!! Overall All locals should have gone here already. it's great. i should go back shortly. Nothing beats a good ole heavy breafast burrito and not the del taco kind at 4pm!!!

This is a 2 star looking restaurant serving 3 star food at 4 star prices. Had the french toast combo. They charged $10, but it would have been $7 at most places. The food was decent, but I could get the same quality at Denny's or Norms for much cheaper. The atmosphere is horrible. Just a bunch of quasi-dirty tables in a fairly empty room. The service was fine. The only way I would ever come back here would be if they had a coupon.

Just as many other reviewers have said, she is definitely a hard worker. So I can appreciate her & her business even more! Me & my boyfriend went here for breakfast, looking for a new place to go. I love lil mom&pop places, so we decided to check it out. The entrees were a lil pricey for breakfast, but I would definitely pay the price instead of going to a Denny's. It was a nice & cozy cafe that you can tell many regulars go to catch up or hang out. And what made our visit so nice was that she was so attentive. She came by to see how we were doing & if we needed anything more than enough times. Definitely will be back again!

I stumbled upon this little restaurant when I was getting work done on my car at a shop nearby (check out my review of C&N Auto Electric). I was just looking for something decent within walking distance in kind of a dead part of town. I walked about a block and a half when I saw a sign that said "Mexican/American Food" When I walked in it was pretty much dead, but then again it was about 10:30am, right in between breakfast and lunch. There was a diner-style counter at the door and table/booth seating areas on either side. I was greeted by the hostess and given a menu to look at, and after a few minutes i asked her if she recommended the steak sandwich or the burger. She was pretty enthusiastic about the burger so I went with a sourdough avocado cheeseburger. I got my coke right away and my meal pretty quickly, maybe a little over 5 minutes. The first thing I noticed is how generous the portions are. The burger itself was pretty big, and I don't use that term lightly, because I'm a big guy and don't mess around like that. The patty was actually bigger than a patty i would have made at home. I was told they grind their own burger meat, and you can really taste the freshness. It came on a plate full of fries, which were cooked just right (doesn't sound like a big deal, but there's nothing more disappointing than getting a great burger with overdone or dried-out fries). The glass of Coke I got was also pretty big, comparable to a large at McD's, which was pretty important to me because I usually go through like 3-4 refills at a sit-down (i didn't even finish the one here). Even the side of ranch I asked for was big, arriving in a small bowl instead of a dip cup. The price was a little over ten bucks. SO the food was pretty good and the portions were enough to fill me up. I also appreciated that the service was prompt and friendly without being obnoxious about it. It seems like the place had a well-earned following, too. As I sat at the counter and ate my food I watched as 6-7 tables get taken as it got closer to lunch time. The people that filled those tables were greeted like regulars. Bottom line: if you're hungry in the area of Beach & Whittier, I would definitely recommend cruising over a few blocks east of Burger King to get a REAL burger. La Habra Heights Cafe is on the north side of Whittier Blvd, across the street from the Honeybaked ham store, in the same shopping center as some Italian restaurant. It's definitely worth it. I plan on going back and trying the steak sandwich.

This place is Sweet! I have tried almost every omelette on the menu multiple times. I don't stray much from the breakfast, but if I have it was also good. The service has always been friendly and fast. Except one Sunday brunch that was crazy busy. The cost is great and the breakfast is superb, I highly recommend trying this place out!!!

Good Food at Great Price. Family Owned Restaurant that serves both Mexican and American Food. The owners are young, ambitious and hardworking. Their staff is made up of friends as well as family. All very friendly & polite. Breakfast is very good as well as a great value. You have your American basics as well as some Mexican favorites such as nopales & eggs, chorizo & eggs and also breakfast burritos. And don't forget to order the fresh squeezed juices. Their hamburger's are FANTASTIC!!! They grind their own meat and have a great pink sauce. Fries are crinkly and thick -YUMMY!!! We CRAVE their burgers!!! Dinner is also good here too! Try the fried chicken!!! I really can't say enough about this place - You are definitely at home here and on a first name basis with these ladies. You are like family here! :-)
